Rhododendron 'Petticoat Lane'

Family: Ericaceae (Heath)
Comments: Habit: Compact shrub to 1.5m.
Foliage: Ovate dark green heavily ribbed leaves, somewhat wavy at edges, with red stems.
Flowers: Compact full rounded umbels in October to November, pink in bud opening frilled bright peach with light yellow throat, flared red inside and spotted. Quickly matures to soft shades of peach, pink, apricot and lemon.
History: Cross by Barry Sligh, Governors Bay, Christchurch, NZ.
Further information: Available from rhododendron nurseries in New Zealand.
