Comments: Flowers: Striking early winter to spring red budded pink and white, very fragrant flowers.
History: Imported by Mr Mason, Wellington Nurseryman about 1850. Named after the Governor Generals wife who took a liking to the flower. A Maddenia hybrid, probably from R. maddenii itself.
Additional notes: Occasionally available in New Zealand.
