Life form: Shrub - evergreen
Comments: Habit: Compact shrub to maximum of 1m tall.

Foliage: Small elliptic leaves, matt dark green, scaly below, highlighted with bronze tones.

Flowers: Early (September to October) flowering. Blush buds open white with greenish yellow spots, lax umbel of 6-8, broad funnels, scented. Very floriferous.

History: R. minus Carolinianum Group X R. ciliatum. Raised by Edmund Amateis, USA, 1951.

Cultivation information: Best in full sun and tolerates a range of temperatures. Suitable for container. This variety is available from rhododendron nurseries in New Zealand.
