Comments: Habit: Compact spreading shrub to 1.2m.

Foliage: New foliage is an attractive bronze colour. Older leaves are slightly bullate, dark green and scaly below, elliptic 110 x 50mm.

Bark: Attractive shiny brown bark.

Flowers: Umbel of 4-6 large funnel shaped flowers, lime green in bud opening yellow and then to cream with yellow throat. Dark brown anthers are prominent. October - November flowering.

History: R. burmanicum X dalhousiae var. dalhousiae. Raised, named and registered by Charles Michael (1963), Caerhays Castle, Cornwall, UK.

Cultivation information: Suitable to grow in a container, this variety tolerates a range of conditions. Available from rhododendron nurseries in New Zealand.
