Comments: Habit: Small tree, can grow up to 15m tall.
Flowers: Distinctive yellow flowers in the spring.
Further information: Flowers provide a favourite food source for NZ birds, particularly tui. Kereru (NZ wood pigeons) also love the tree but tend to destroy the foliage and flowers at Pukeiti. In the photo you can see the damage. The flowers are only on the small hanging branches that the kereru are unable to reach.
